How do I take care of my tattoo?


How do I book with you?

Do you have a waitlist?
We do not keep a waitlist, however you can join our mailing list [ click here ] and you will get priority notifications about when Vanessa’s books will open next. You will be offered to fill out submissions and be notified of cancellation spots before the general public.

Vanessa’s books are currently closed. Please click here to see when her books will open again.

If I didn’t receive a response from my booking email, what does that mean?
We will only reply to your email if you have included all the required information. If you have included all the necessary information, and you still do not receive a response within approximately 3 business days, we have decided not to proceed with your project at this time. Although, we often reply letting you know the reason why.

What is your hourly rate?
Tattoos are priced per piece according to size. Vanessa’s minimum charge for her floral designs are $1000 (smaller tattoos including the heart designs start at $600, a la carte $100, vending machine $250, etc).

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept debit, credit, or cash!

Do you tattoo script tattoos or things that are tiny?
Vanessa offers what is called an “a la carte” option. These small tattoo designs are available to add onto current appointments. If you get booked, feel free to email us to add a small design to your appointment. Designs can be seen on Vanessa’s Instagram highlight bubble.

Where are you located?
Vanessa is working out of Opal Wellness in Victoria, BC. All details will be emailed to you after your appointment has been booked!

What if I change my mind and don't want the tattoo anymore? Can I get my deposit back?
No, sorry! All deposits are non-refundable.

We do not rebook appointments unless there is an emergency. Please email us ASAP if you need to change your appointment for emergency reasons. There must be enough notice given, and the more notice the better.

Will I be able to see my drawing before my tattoo date?
It depends on the artist that you choose and their preference. Vanessa does not send out drawings. She believes that the most important thing when you're choosing an artist is to trust them! Make sure you go with someone you feel totally comfortable with!

Do you ever have flash designs available?
Yes! Each artists’ instagram will be the first place where flash designs and cancellations are posted.

Will you add on to my exisiting tattoo from someone else?
No, sorry :(

How old do I have to be to get tattooed?
You must be 19 or over (and able to provide picture ID on the day of your tattoo). We will not be tattooing anyone under the age of 19 even if you have parental consent.

Any other restrictions?
We will not tattoo anyone who is pregnant.

I’m a “no-show” type of client… what happens if I do not show up to my appointment or email to notify you?
There are no excuses for clients who don’t show up to their appointments without any prior contact. It is disrespectful of the artists’ time as they are sitting waiting at the studio for you and they are now left without work. 50% of your total tattoo cost will be charged if you do not show up.

Am I allowed to bring a friend with me to my tattoo appointment?
No, unfortunately not due to space.

Should I arrive early to my appointment?
No, please arrive on time as we need to make sure everything is properly sanitized and ready for your arrival.

What if I’m late?
Anything more than 15 minutes late without notice will result in a loss of deposit and have to be rescheduled to a later date.

How do I book a touch up appointment?
Touch ups are included for the first year. After the first year, there is a fee unless you are coming in for an additional tattoo - then it’s included! Please email us to inquire. :)
